International Shorts 2025

International Shorts is a year round film festival which screens selected movies at the end of each season (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter). Best of the Festival films will be screened on December 13, 2025 at Angelika Theater, Union Market, Washington DC.* 

Submissions

Genre: Comedy, Drama and Animations are welcome to submit.

Time: We screen films from 30 seconds to up to 20 minutes (including all credits)

Completion Date: Films must have been completed after January 1, 2023

Language: All non-English language films must have English subtitles

Online Screener: We accept only Online submissions

All selected films for each year will be eligible for Awards for:

Best Short Film

Best Director

Best Screenplay

Best Climax

Best Animated Short

Best Narrative Short

Publicity

To help new filmmakers get maximum publicity and exposure we will make all efforts to publicize the selected films:

Press will be invited for special coverage
